INTRODUCTORY OFFER for customers in the USA. Staygrip twin pack for only $10 at Sailorman.com

Staygrip product details

Staygrip is designed to provide an attachment point on yacht stays. Each grip comprises two halves that interlock to surround the stay. Grip is provided at four positions and is designed to allow load to be applied in any direction. (Technical details)

The StayGripTM can be left in position ready for use at any time or removed for use when the occasion arises. No tools are required, the Staygrip is fitted and released by hand.

Each pack contains two complete grips and sufficient grip adjusters to allow fitting to any stay diameter in the range 4 to 8mm (3/16" to 5/16"). As a guide the grip is normally suitable for yachts from 6 to 11 metres (20ft to 36ft) in length.

New Application - Courtesy line loop

The diagram opposite shows how the Staygrip can be used to retain the loop of a courtesy line. The loop passes through the two holes of the grip and the Staygrip's position on the stay can be adjusted to provide the correct tension. This dispenses the need for a cleat as the loop is always retained. Click on the diagram for more information.

Staygrip has now been reviewed by Yachting World and Sailing Today. Follow this link to see what they had to say!

Staygrip also has forthcoming reviews in Dutch water sport magazine 'Waterkampioen' and 'Soundings' magazine in the United States.

Recommended retail price £6.95 per pack. Two year guarantee. Made in England.

As well as attachment to stays the grips can also be used to secure items to ropes. This makes them useful for attaching items on the spreader hoists.

The product is manufactured from a high strength thermoplastic resistant to extremes of temperature. The method of attachment distributes the gripping load in order to prevent damage to the stay.

StayGripTM is protected by world wide patent applications.
